Once upon a time, there was a man. Not just any man. Our hero was a super man! Everyone love this man. He was larger than life and people loved him for his bombastic and charismatic nature. Men and women alike loved hanging out with him. He even had a great job. He made lots and lots of money. And was not miserly or covetous. In short, he was a great guy.
Then one day, this guy got another job. A job with way more responsibility. More responsibility that he had ever had in his life! Now maybe he wasn’t quite ready for the job but it was a job that he wanted. After the initial excitement faded he made many, many mistakes and screwed up more times than he would care to remember. Now at this point some people, like our hero, would begin to take stock in how he is approaching his job and you know what? Once our hero calmed down and grew up and got his act together, he discovered that not only was he good at his new job, but he loved it and his new responsibilities more than anything. People came to rely on him and trust that no matter the situation, he would do his job to the best of his ability.
Now you might be asking, “Rich, what does this have to do with anything?” Our hero learned his lesson and it payed off. That’s not to say that he is perfect of doesn’t still make mistakes. On the contrary, he makes mistakes all the time. The important thing is that he tries his best every time. And he tries to learn from his mistakes. Well if you look around in life, there are lots of people who had big important jobs where they could act and do anything that they wanted and then got another big important job where they shouldn’t but still do act the way they want.
Take this for whatever it’s worth. If you see yourself in this story great. If not, I hope that it was at least mildly entertaining.
